Inspire Boot Camp FAQ’s
How do I register to participate?
Go to the Inspire Bootcamp Enrollment page, fill out the enrollment form and click “submit”. After submitting the enrollment form, go back to the enrollment page and select your Inspire Bootcamp Program. Click on the appropriate “Add to Shopping Cart” button, and you will proceed to checkout. You do not need a Paypal account to use our Paypal Secure Server and pay online with your credit card. You may also simply bring a check or cash with you upon your first Bootcamp session. Checks should be written out to “Inspire Training Systems”, and if you pay by Cash, bring the exact amount due to facilitate processing of your payment.
You must also download and complete the Par-Q and Informed Consent forms accessible at the bottom of the Enrollment page. Bring the completed and signed forms with you the day you first attend bootcamp. These pre-activity forms represent standard best-practices and are designed to discern your preparedness to participate in this or any other exercise program. There is a possibility that you will be asked to attain your primary care physician’s recommendation or medical clearance before beginning the Inspire Bootcamp program. If, based on your responses to the ParQ questions, or anything else, you have any questions regarding your readiness to participate, please email me prior to your initial attendance at: Neal@InspireTrainingSystems.com .
What is Inspire’s refund policy?
If you are unable to continue participating in bootcamp sessions due to a permanent change in your health status, I will offer you a prorated refund as of the date you document your medical condition with a note from your physician explaining the reason for your ineligibility.
If you miss bootcamp sessions due to any reason other than health status or medical ineligibility, the missed classes will not be credited under any circumstances, and they are non-refundable.
Does Inspire Bootcamp offer a service guarantee?
ABSOLUTELY!!! Inspire Bootcamp offers you two guarantees:

How often should I attend Inspire Bootcamp?
I highly recommend that you participate in the Inspire Bootcamp 3 times per week to reap its substantial total body training benefits.
Some of our participants strength train at their gym, or run outside two or three days, and also cross-train by attending bootcamp two or three other days each week. Others use Inspire Bootcamp as a swift kick in the butt, to “kick-start” their weight-loss or fitness training regimen. Yet others participate exclusively in the Inspire Bootcamp program, to insure they get the USDA recommended “three days of the week” of vigorous activity, and supplement that with an overall increase in light and moderate activity, like leisure walking and gardening.
What do I need to bring to camp?
You should dress comfortably and ready to exercise. Sweats, shorts, leggings, t-shirt – whatever YOU are comfortable wearing. Layering is not necessary, but might be appropriate based on your personal preferences. Keep in mind that you will be in an indoor, temperature controlled environment, and that I will keep you moving – and warm.
We perform our bootcamp workouts on a Professional-grade indoor turf, which has tiny black rubber pellets that simulate dirt, and provide a supportive and resilient surface that readily absorbs impact when running and jumping on the surface. So while you don’t need anything to lay on, some bootcampers like to bring their own exercise mat or beach towel to lay on when doing exercises on the ground.
You may bring a water bottle or sports drink to help you stay well hydrated throughout the bootcamp session. If you forget to bring your own, you may purchase a drink from one of the vending machines available in the facility (for your convenience bring single dollar bills).
What should I expect at the bootcamp session?
We typically begin with a group walk/jog around the field while we wait for the start of the session. Sessions begin exactly at their scheduled start-time, so try to arrive 5 or 10 minutes prior to the start of the session. Sessions will end no later than the scheduled end-time.
We then proceed with the group dynamic warm-up. It includes a progression of ground-based whole-body movements that not only prepare you for some of the more challenging exercises that are to come, but also help condition your total body. This portion of the session can be a complete workout I and of itself!
We will then usually go on to some agility and cardio-based drills, followed by some dynamic core training and balance exercises. Finally, we typically finish-up with a brief static stretching progression which does double duty, helping to serve as the tail-end of your cool-down.
How should I feel during and after the bootcamp sessions?
If you have not been exercising, or if you have not been doing any anaerobic or agility / functional exercises, you will likely have to stop periodically as you progress through the session. In fact, YOU SHOULD STOP or slow down whenever you feel necessary.
Some people feel fatigued, out of breath, dizzy, or even nauseous when they really push it. I encourage you to take each session at your own pace, slow down whenever you deem necessary, and communicate with me or your bootcamp coach, if you feel anything out of the ordinary during or immediately after the session. You will be AMAZED at how quickly your endurance will improve, and not only will you be able to endure the exercise progressions, but you will EXCEL and actually feel invigorated throughout the bootcamp session.
One common cause of this nausea is exercising on an empty stomach, especially when you have not been exercising at all. I recommend that you have something light (ie.- small bowl of cereal, piece of toast, a small yogurt or cottage cheese, or its equivalent) 30 to 60 minutes before you exercise. Do not eat much more than this, since then the nausea will be from eating too much. Experiment with food items that you like, and that you have available, and you will soon learn what light pre-activity snacks and meals are ideal for you.
Later, on the day of a session, and sometimes on the next day, you may experience some muscle soreness. THIS IS NORMAL. Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) is the body’s natural response to performing new exercises or taking your regular workout up a notch. You are NOT injured, but your muscles will hurt. Moving the sore muscles and stretching them LIGHTLY will help overcome the typical muscle soreness. Most participants adapt to the new exercises and DOMS is dramatically reduced after the first week of bootcamps.
How long will it be before I see results from Inspire Bootcamp?
As I said before, you will be amazed how quickly your endurance will improve. You will typically feel the difference after the first few weeks. You will begin to see the difference after the first 6 to 8 weeks on the Inspire Bootcamp program. This is when you will notice your jeans fitting a little looser around the hips, and your waistline will begin to show signs of whittling away. The 90-day mark is when you typically realize you have dropped a dress size or two.
Keep in mind that while you might be tempted to use Inspire Bootcamp as a “crash-workout” program to kick yourself into gear, that is not its intention. Inspire Bootcamp is an evidence-based REAL functional conditioning program. It is geared towards improving each participant’s functionality. You will be stronger and certainly more agile, but if you adhere to the program over the long haul, it will prove to be the only formal exercise program you will ever need. Inspire bootcampers who follow the program consistently over a consecutive 12-month period will achieve fitness levels they did not think possible. I have 30-years of experience to assure you that if you do your part, you will be ecstatic with the results, and your friends and family will be amazed!
What is the typical participant like?
YOU! Inspire Bootcamp is for “every body”. Whether you are a high school athlete, or a 50-year old taking Beta-blockers to control your blood pressure, Inspire Bootcamp provides a safe, dynamic, and effective total body workout for all participants. The coach will temper the exercise selections, intensities, and durations throughout each session for various participants in the group. This is so each participant can get the most out of each session, while minimizing risk of injury.
